“Are we about to break up before even moving in together?” Ms. Capricorn asked as if she didn’t even know this was a possibility. 😢
“This trip is expensive, booked and paid for already! What do you want me to do?!”
💸 Mr. Aries lease was ending at that same time and he did not want to renew knowing he was about to move across the country.
“My friends have already moved out, I’m the last one here and have to be out by this weekend.”
“I know that already, just come on, get on the plane and we’ll figure this out later.” Ms. Capricorn said trying to end the argument while she felt she had the upper hand. 💪
So he moved into the NY apt with Ms. Capricorn, but without Ms. Capricorn.
✈️ And although they talked about it, she never canceled her trip. So she left and he was alone.
Now this is a crucial time, because this is early in the relationship.
This is critical bonding time they need to see if they can even tolerate one another in a 1 on 1 environment. 🥹
Remember, they lived together in L.A., but with roommates. This is the real test.
🥹 But here he is in a new city, all alone.
He finds a job and that takes up some of this day, but the wound is starting to fester.
To her credit, Ms. Capricorn keeps her phone close and answers every call he makes. 📳
Including one night when he facetimed her late and she answered, but he could clearly see that she was in a night club and guys were present.
🕺 All around her. And all over her.
“Who is that guy that you’re dancing with?” he yelled so she could hear his question over the loud bass filled, club.
“Whaaattttt?” she said predictably because she couldn’t hear him over the music. 😬
“Hold on a minute while I go outside so I can hear you…”
🕺 As she started to walk away though, he could clearly see the guy she was dancing with grab her hand and waist and pull her back to him.
Ms. Capricorn politely pulled away again and walked outside so they could finish their conversation.
“Who is that guy that you’re dancing with?!” Mr. Aries said in an insecure, yet assertive voice that she hadn’t heard before. 😡
“I understand why you’re asking, but he’s just a friend….”
💃 “Some guy Ms. Pisces met earlier today. She was dancing too, didn’t you see her?”
The image of Ms. Capricorn being pulled back onto the dance floor burned into Mr. Aries’ mind.
He tried to push it away, reminding himself of her reassurances, but a seed of doubt had been planted. 😐
He paced his new apartment, the silence amplifying his unease.
😐 Should he confront her?
Ignore it and hope for the best?
Or was this a sign that their relationship was built on shaky ground? 💔
What would you do?
Now for many men, she would have arrived back home to an empty house. ✌️
And he 100% considered it.
But he also grabbed his laptop and logged into Trip.com to gauge the cost of a ticket from NYC to the Dominican Republic (the girls trip destination). 💳
